I too would reccommend replacing the drive but your problem may be the combination of your drive and the media you use. You drive may be marginal in operation with that maker’s media.

I managed to convert the RMVB file to DIVX except the original files dimension was 640 x 480 and the converted DIVX file is now 320 x 240. How do I keep the original dimensions.
